Oh boy, Nelson Cruz just turned a Michael Wuertz fastball deep into the Texas night.  After a hard fought nine innings, the Rangers needed only one extra to win 3-1.  Josh Hamilton scored from first on Cruz's 14th homer of the year.

The A's were able to scratch a run out against an always tough Cliff Lee, who seems to go 8+ every time he takes the mound.  Fortunately, Gio Gonzalez was almost as good, also allowing only one run

Adam Rosales did reach third base in the ninth, but Cliff Pennington couldn't get the job done, which ultimately proved to be the final difference.

One problem for tomorrow's game is availability in the bullpen.  Hopefully Trevor Cahill can go deep.
