Rich Harden is now a Boston Red Sox. The Oakland A's have parted ways with Harden for the second time in his A's career. The trade is Harden to Boston. In return the A's recieve Triple-A first basemen (and Oakland Native) Lars Anderson and a player to be named later.

Anderson is batting .261 with ten home runs and 58 runs batted in during his 103 games with Triple-A Pawtucket. This is the first time i've heard Harden's name in trade talks this week. He will be a good fit for the Red Sox as he played a heck of a game against the New York Yankees last Saturday.

The biggest question for Boston is if Harden will remain healthy through the rest of the year. He is 2-1 with an ERA of 4.30 in five games this season for the A's. We wish Rich Harden all the best in Boston.

Other Notes from Saturday Night:

David DeJesus was taken out of the game against the Minnesota Twins. Susan Slusser reports that he was taken out due to right thumb soreness.
